The update attached, shares the impact felt by our suppliers of PPE and laundry services following the recent heatwave experienced in July and August, and how climate change is going to play a part in the future of Fire Structural PPE.
Where the demands on the services provided reached their peak and the subsequent after effects, it has on Participating Authorities and the supplier themselves. It looks to address how best Fire and Rescue Services (FRS’s) can assist during periods of extreme pressure in order to maintain operational capability.
It also focuses on the lessons learnt that will be implemented into business continuity planning in the future.
Further updates of the recent heatwave will follow, should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks
