Elli Nikolaou, FM and Construction Category Lead

Elli has an extensive public sector experience in a procurement capacity which spans over a period of sixteen years across various local government bodies and, as part of the her latest three year position, Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service where she held overall responsibility for the procurement function. During this period of time, she has undertaken a lead procurement role in the delivery of a number of high value, high risk collaborative projects across various categories of spend, including but not limited to complex PFI Design, Build, Operate, Maintain projects in waste management and social care ranging from £10m to £340m capital and revenue spend.

This has enabled Elli to become very adaptable to different environments and develop transferable procurement and contract management skills, which have in turn contributed in securing value for money and promoting public sector bodies as transparent, innovative, commercial and customer focussed organisations.

It is Elli’s view that forming strong relations with Fire and Rescue Services’ Estates and Procurement colleagues, which are built on trust and mutual respect, will be pivotal in delivering positive results for the sector and inspiring change that benefits all.
